Herzerwärmende und aufrichtige Komödie über einen jungen Mann, dessen Tourette-Syndrom ihm das Leben schwer macht. Anfang der 80er Jahre wusste man noch nichts über die Tics, und so wird die Schulzeit für John zum Spießrutenlauf. 13 Jahre später, unter starker Medikation und ohne Perspektive, wird eine krebskranke Frau sein Schutzengel: Dottie erkennt, dass in John viel mehr steckt. Bald sind die beiden in aufklärender Mission unterwegs, unterstützen Menschen mit ähnlicher Diagnose. Und am Ende lernt John sogar die Queen persönlich kennen!
